This episode pairs well with "Free Life EP6: Freedom to Earn"

If you're also an online course instructor and want to have your own course platform, I recommend you check this out!

I initially learned about Teachify (https://kaik.app/zh/) because I was recently worried about whether to set up an official website for my brand and what types of websites to build. So I consulted with over 10 companies and ended up confused.

One of those companies was Teachify. I have to thank Fresh Bookstore Tuna for the recommendation. I observed that several Facebook friends were using Teachify, and the website integrates well with WP, so I reached out to their account manager. My account manager is adorable and named Panna. She explained everything in great detail during our call. After thinking about it for a long time, I decided to try it out. On June 21st, I opened my Pandora's box.

Course launched within 1 hour (integrated payment system + e-invoice), actually started earning revenue, and sold over 50 orders in 3 hours. Panna said: "You're the first person to do this with Teachify!"

However, the prerequisite is that I had already activated Newebpay payment and invoicing before, so when integrating EZPAY, I didn't need to wait at all—I just copied and pasted the API keys. Of course, Panna deserves credit for immediately sending me the process steps.

We kept exclaiming: Oh my god, this is way too fast!!!

So what course did I actually launch!? And how fast is Teachify?

First, I have to praise the backend interface—the visuals and functionality are really incredibly convenient. After applying for and activating your account, you have all the features you'd want!

First, the frontend issue I care most about: Can it integrate with my official website?

Completely can!!

Let me compare my current official website with Teachify's appearance

Image 1: Karen's Official Website (Pink theme, standard logo)

Image 2: Frontend allows customization of theme colors and logo

Image 3: Course page: buttons and content all use the pink standard color

Image 4: Member login interface with standard logo and color

Looking at these four images, you basically can't tell these are two different websites. To achieve this, you only need to add a logo and color scheme in the Teachify backend!! (So smart)

Second, the order backend that teachers really care about—it's very visual, showing you payment status, payment method, transaction ID, and member information. Plus, you can export these as excel or CSV files, which is great for secondary marketing.

Third, a highly visual course management menu.

The chapter management and unit creation are super user-friendly. When uploading files within the course, the format options are very diverse, so besides audio and video files, you can also upload supplementary files! And only course purchasers can see these. You can also set courses as free or issue discount codes.

So what exactly am I selling that keeps getting orders?

That's what this episode's audio "Freedom to Earn" wants to discuss—how aggressively you develop products.

Because I took an inspiring course recently, I realized I actually have many writing frameworks that I could share with others. Of course, intellectual property has a certain value, but non-professionals might not clearly understand how to use it.

So I launched my first product: the "Book Summary Framework Template" from my previous live course on book summary writing. Since students who completed the course praised this framework template, I quickly designed it with Canva, optimized the template, and recorded a five-minute tutorial using my Apple phone to explain how to use the framework, then officially started selling it.

Of course, right after launching, I boldly promoted it on my fan page!! And I was lucky enough to get shared by teacher Ouyang Li-Chung!! You could say the teacher's charisma is so strong that one share caused an explosion!!

Takeaway:

Teachify lives up to its name! From the moment I tried the backend, I could tell they really understand what course instructors need. All the basic features and analytics you want are there—you don't have to wait for the development team to build them because they move fast too!!

The best part is, I'd wanted my WP website to have a member shopping cart for a long time, but I was worried the system integration wouldn't be smooth enough, so even though I had the feature for a year and a half, I wasn't proactively launching courses. But today I broke through, and I especially have to thank my account manager Panna for constantly encouraging me and saying "You're our first Karen," "You're the first person to activate in one hour!," and "You're the first to have revenue on day one!" With this kind of enthusiastic encouragement, I'm probably also the first user to write a review on day one haha!

Since I can now create my own courses, I have a lot more freedom and don't need to worry about sales performance anxiety (which used to be my biggest source of stress)! I'm also really grateful for Teachify's excellent service!!
